Why Is It So Hard To Lose Weight?

People are asking the same question over and over again. Losing weight is their personal dilemma where the solution is much easier to say but hard to do. Some people just don't get the right explanation why it is so hard to lose weight.

If you had tried everything like regular exercise and proper diet just to lose a pound or two and still can't get your ideal weight, you have to see other perspectives as to why you are not getting slimmer.

Is there any alternative solution? To better understand your situation as to why you are not losing weight, you have to wonder what is the real reason behind it. You must consider your age and your everyday habit and think of the things that you think is preventing you from losing weight.

First your age. Have you wondered why older people have the most difficult task of maintaining their weight? Let alone lose it? Weight loss program for older people specifically middle to senior years, can be a daunting task. Even though they work so hard doing aerobics and other stuff plus eating low fat foods, they still don't lose those extra ten pounds.

Why? Research studies shows that once an individual gets older, there cravings for fats and sweets increases. These results to various illnesses, obesity and they feel tired and stressed up all the time.

One scientific study involves the small intestine. Inside the small intestine, are finger-like protrusions called "villi". These villi are responsible for the food absorption of nutrients and other nutrients to take place. As people get older, these villi get permanent damage and break off your intestines.

Below are some of the factors that helps damage your villi.

- Stress

- Preservatives

- Additives

- Airborne toxins

- Medications

- Smoking

- Animal Fat

- Alcohol abuse

- Drugs

- Salt

- Too much sugar

- Lack of water

What happens when the body stops absorbing the nutrients from food? If the villi in your intestines started to decrease, your body will need more food to accommodate the less absorption of nutrients. Your appetite will certainly increase as well your cravings for foods. You start to crave for more carbohydrates, fats and sweet foods because these are the most easiest to absorb by your body.

When this happens, you become slow, fatigued and more tired because your body is not nourished with proper and adequate nutrients. When your villi is not healthy, your mind tells you that you are starving and needs to eat more. The most damaging of all is that your villi will start to store fats in your body instead of burning them.

You may still say that you eat the right foods, exercise regularly and you are taking a lot of vitamin supplements. But even though you may be doing these things, you still experience all the symptoms that were described.

The main culprit of your weight gain is absorption. No matter how much good food and vitamins you take is wasted, if your body is not absorbing them properly.

Now how can you prevent this to happen? Our villi decreases naturally and get damaged as we get older. These are due to circumstances and different natures of environment we encounter in our lives. Although there are vitamins and supplements to help protect our digestive system, the destruction of villi are inevitable.

To help prolong the effectiveness of our digestive system, you must avoid all those factors mentioned above at an early stage of your life, preferably on our teens. If you can successfully do that, you can be sure of a healthy and fit body when you reaches mature age.

Remember that to keep your weight off, you need to feed your body at the cellular level. Then your body can rebuild and refresh the villi to a more healthy state it was when you were still young.

Cleanse the villi by eating right and avoiding health pollutants which will result to more nutrients absorption then healthy cells will automatically regenerate. You body will heal itself, you will look young, lose weight and feel great!
